You need a physical hobby and yoga isn’t butch enough and Karate might involve getting hit, right? So what’s left? There’s always swords. No we’re not talking swallowing or any other sort of swordplay (such dirty minds!) Raab Rashi offers a class in “Siljun Dobup,” or “the art of the Samurai sword” for only $15 bucks a class. We’re not endorsing any sort of Kill Bill antics, but how often can you learn how to kill a man for cheaper than what it costs to buy him a decent dinner? We’re in. Mind The Gap

Mission Statement: Mind The Gap Theatre exists to find, read, evaluate, develop and ultimately produce new British theatrical writing in New York City. While our focus is on presenting new British works, with a company of mad talented actors and playwrights from BOTH sides of the pond, we occasionally like to show off what the Yanks in our company can do by taking a new American play to the UK.

We are eager to read and present plays from all over the British Isles to achieve a level of regional, ethnic and gender diversity.

The ultimate goal of Mind The Gap is not merely to present readings, workshops and short plays but to bring to life the highest quality productions. It is our goal to present 1-3 new full-length productions in New York City in addition to the BRITSBITS festival, a showcase of roughly 25 short plays that are critiqued by members of the company.
